Bat-man, Super-man or a Spider-man.

Last night, after office, I was riding back home. When I reached the traffic signal right after the ITPL Park square mall, found 3 guys on a bike jumping the signal and almost got hit by a tempo traveler. They stopped the bike and started yelling at the TT driver, it was not his fault. I continued my ride and a few mins later, witnessed an accident. The guys that jumped the signal went ahead so fast just to hit a car and this time too, it was not the car driver’s fault. I parked my bike aside and ran towards them just to help if anyone is injured. What happened the next 45 minutes gave me a sleepless night and forced me to write this. The car driver is a TCS employee, looked like a software engineer. A medium built- timid guy. I don’t want anyone to go through the trauma that he went through last night. Initially, I was a mere spectator at the scene. Helpless, stood in fear, frozen. These three guys, after hitting the car from the rear, fell to the ground. Their bike was damaged and so was their ego. Ruthless ruffians. They dragged the TCS employee out of the car, started punching him, slapping him and they did not allow him to say a word. The wanted money to repair their bikes and kept assaulting the poor chap. The crowd gathered, traffic came to a halt and all were witnessing the debacle. The people around me were all from the IT companies nearby and were not ready to help this guy fearing those 3 would hurt them too. To my disappointment, a few more guys joined the 3, friends of the trio and started hitting the TCS employee. I wanted to stop them hitting this guy, but no clue how to stop them. I knew they were not in a mood to listen to anyone. I called 100, just to hear a busy tone. Not once, but thrice. I mustered up my courage and approached the guy that was holding the TCS employee’s collar and slapping him as has hard as he could. I knew I was inviting trouble but not ready to retreat. I asked a few people around me to help this guy and asked me to join. Gracious god! A few came with me. We stopped the guys from hitting the TCS employee and took him aside. They didn’t like that. I was shivering inside and ensured that I don’t show that on my face. It helped! They were around eight of them. As there was enough support with me, they started talking. Demanded money for their first aid and to repair their bikes. There was a small fellow, part of the eight, venting his anger on the car. Mob culture, I hate it. At last, a traffic police constable showed up at the scene. When we all thought the help has arrived, he told the TCS employee to pay something to the mob! Jesus! At that moment, I wanted to turn in to a bat-man, a super-man, or a spider-man or may be all of them at once and thrash the unruly mob and teach them a lesson, forgetting I am common-man. The guy that was beaten up last night did not make any mistake, but he was punished. He took several punches on his face, he was slapped and kicked. I couldn’t stop that. I am not able to get over with this… Silently weeping inside my helmet I drove towards my home. •There were eight against one. •They were not ready to listen to anyone but wanted to hurt the poor chap. •The guy that got hurt, I could see him standing helplessly in fear. •He didn’t know what to do or how to react as they were raining punches on his face. God, pls don’t put anyone in this situation. If you think that these situations make someone strong, it did. It made the mob strong. By the way, why didn’t I get a call from the police saying, “ we saw your missed call, how may we help you”?

Radio Jockeying - A must skill for all...

Very recently, I came across a link in Facebook about a radio jockey who makes prank calls to people, mostly referred by the friends and relatives of listeners of 92.7 BIG FM.

Often we do get these kind of calls from friends. You definitely need to possess a cool attitude and a quick wit to out smart the caller. Listen to these audio recordings of the "Cross talk" and let me know if you have come across such incidents. This definitely is a stress buster. Njoi!!!
