Radio Jockeying - A must skill for all...

Very recently, I came across a link in Facebook about a radio jockey who makes prank calls to people, mostly referred by the friends and relatives of listeners of 92.7 BIG FM.
Often we do get these kind of calls from friends. You definitely need to possess a cool attitude and a quick wit to out smart the caller. Listen to these audio recordings of the "Cross talk" and let me know if you have come across such incidents. This definitely is a stress buster. Njoi!!!

Awesome!
I had no clue what is in waiting for me when I joined the BASC team at the esteem mall bus stop when I decided to scale Skandagiri on 27th Nov'10. I knew its going to be fun as skandagiri challenges your ability to climb altitude and my very first visit to the place was nothing but a hilarious one.
Having nothing much to do on a weekend, I insisted that Arun joined me for the trek. He did, happily. The other reason why I chose to go with BASC is Sathish. This man is made of Red bull, Gatorade and laughing gas. His sense of humor will keep you alive and active. A good leader who can lead his pack to the destination with nothing but a fun-filled journey. There is a lot to learn from him as he carries a deep character and maturity . We started as decided and took the road to skandagiri betta. Azhar in his Hero Honda Hunk proved why a 150 CC bike is always better than a 125 CC one. A few Royal Enfields joined us with its signature sound. I really want to own a royal Enfield, a Thunder Bird would do.
When we stopped at the T junction where the road leads to Nandi Hills, for all to re-group and go together, the cops came with their so called authority and abused us that the youth is making Nandi hills a wretched place. True, may be a few... not all.
3 bikers showed us an interesting fireworks by pressing the center stand against the road while the bikes were on the move. That created sparkles on the road. At night, it was even more fascinating. Now I knew why the policemen were mad at us. After parking the vehicles at a safe place near the base and while waiting for others to join, I took a power nap on leaning against a temple pillar.
Carry a torch, a litre of water, wear a good Jerkin, travel lite and go with friends. My personal opinion is to carry a beer. ( Not allowed when you go with BASC). Drop that idea when you have girls in your gang.
The trek started very smooth. You know very well, that anything starts very smooth wouldn't remain that way for too long! After 3 hours of various pace in climbing, breaks and jokes, we reached the summit.
It was dark and Ice cold, but it was filled with energetic people who braved to push the mountain beneath their feet. Hurrah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We made it!
Wait the best is yet to come...
Our antakshari at the chilly mountain moved the nature Gods and ordered the sky to throw a silver lining on the horizon. All rushed to the sunrise point to get the best view of Sun that was ready to come out of its blanket of clouds. There started the inexplicable display of mother nature's soap opera.
Blue, magenta, orange, Sky blue, green, white... She changed her attire every second making us marvel at her abundant ability to be volatile. Thank God! I didn't carry my camera along. The clouds caressed us with its invisible touch, paraded in front of our eyes in all possible shapes. Moved around, ran around, covered the near by hills and disclosed it again after a breeze drove it away. Nandi hills was a visual treat from Skandagiri. It looked like a black forest chocolate flake inserted on a vanilla ice cream bucket! Someone help me in describing it Please. Now I learn, the best things in life are the ones that are very hard to explain in words. Cos when you fail to explain, perhaps, there are only three reasons.
1. Its really awesome
2. There is no equal or matching vocabulary to key in exactly what you experienced through your eyes, nose and all the senses that made you feel that experience.
3. The impact was too huge, you went numb!
Think again, how many times you've used the word "Awesome"? On all those instances, you've failed to explain things as it is. Awesome!!!
Thank you Satish ( BASC ) for arranging such a wonderful trek. I caught up with a lot of friends that have been appreciating and criticizing my photography through face book and Orkut. It was nice meeting all.
If this is your first visit to my blog and if you are wondering what BASC is?

Playing Clouds
Fathima Church, Gandhipuram.
Remember the Kamalhasan's movie " Oru Kaidhiyin Diary", where he comes out of the jail and dramatically pushes open the huge gates of a Church? If you do, Its Fathima church! My play ground, a meeting spot and my time-pass location. I would lay on the grass, look into the sky to see the painting of the day, the formation of clouds! An elephant's trunk, a horse's head, a bald man, back of a woman, a running rabbit, tail of a whale... clouds threw enough shapes for me to speculate. This made me create my own surreal world to enhance my creativity. As a Piscean I always love the abstract more than the concrete. Clouds... like water, fire, smoke and rain, this beauty has something new always. Like a finger print this is very unique every single time.

The moon, my cleanser!
In my childhood days, whenever I was afraid of any of my mistakes or hurt my brother and or anything that I feel guilty of doing it, I would try to isolate myself from the deafening crowd, find a lonely place and hide myself. As days passed by, I would find some place that is dark, sit for sometime, contemplate, reprimand myself. This activity took a different angle , one day I when I was sitting in dark, the Moon emerged out of the dark blanket of clouds, I watched it in amazement. I felt it symbolizes that I am cleansed of my mistakes, my fear and now I am a new man. Today, I took my camera to my terrace and watched the moon, it didn't cleanse me. I silently watched it, "You are beyond redemption and salvation", heard a voice from somewhere... Is that you moon?!

The day I was waiting for...
06:45 Am
When my alarm snoozed 05:30 am, I was still in slumber speculating whether to venture out or not. I've always told suki that I wanted to click the pigeons in front of the Amber High court building. Parked my bike near the high court as there was enough security to safeguard my beloved Arjun (My Bajaj Discover DTSI - SI). It was very pleasing to see lens men like me carrying a Nikon or a Canon, clicking and reviewing immediately with a noticeable smile on their face. Dad's with curious kids, shuttle cork enthusiasts, obese men and women walking so fast thinking that the body fat may just melt through their legs. Fitness folks running and Jogging in colorful cotton and branded shoes. A lady with 8-10 Labradors, practicing yoga in their company. She didn’t bother the ogling crowd when she was on a "Tree Pose". In fact they were looking at all her postures as she was too attractive for her age. I simply liked her Attitude. A crowd practicing laughter therapy and bending exercise, a few watching them wondering what makes these guys laugh for nothing? Skaters with head gears, a few reading news paper, some lost in their reminiscence of the past, a few working to get the Six pack that shahid flaunts with. Girls, wondering at the size of the Hounds and Danes. Tall daughter - short father, Caring mother - smoking dad, Kind hearted people feeding the pigeons and stray dogs - Cubbon Park is full of life.
A curious on looker said “someone hung himself from a tree, go click. You are from the press right?” Just moved away from him, why would I click someone who is stupid enough to die in a world full of life? Who knows what his problem was. May be, caught in a Love triangle.
